Then from 1949-1972 a total of 3,975,654 pieces were re-struck, most likely dated 1947 and an additional 388,800 pieces dated 1947 were struck during 2000 to 2013. The coin is 90% gold and weighs 41.67 grams. It has a total of 1.2057 ounces of gold per coin. The obverse has the national arms of an eagle with a snake in its mouth and the reverse has the winged victory. this image features an Angel of Independence holding the wreath of military victory.
