Description
The Chinese Silver Panda was first introduced in 1983 by the Official Mint of the People’s Republic of China. Many people love the pandas because The Chinese Mint changes the design of the Panda each year with the exception of 2002. The coins are 99.9% pure silver. They are issued in sizes of 1 ounce, ½ ounce, ¼ ounce, 5 ounce, 12 ounce and 1 kilogram. The obverse shows the Temple of Heaven, the reverse shows pictures of giant pandas. In 2016, the weight system was changed from ounces to grams. The mint issues Proof and uncirculated coins. They have also issued Colored, gold plated, and commemorative privy marks. Coin Highlights:
