Description
First produced in 1990, the Australian Silver Kookaburra has been a favorite among collectors with its kookaburra bird, a native to Australia, depicted on the coin. This coin is 99.9% with every year having a new design of the kookaburra. The obverse side of the coin depicts Queen Elizabeth II and the reverse side is a different kookaburra design each year. The 1 troy ounce coin has a 1 dollar face value. The 2 troy ounce coin has a 2 dollar face value. The 10 troy ounce coin has a face value of Australian 10 dollars. The 1 kilogram coin has a face value of 30 dollars Australian. The coins are issued in individual hard plastic capsules and shrink wrapped in rolls of twenty. The coins are issued in bullion uncirculated and proof versions, however, the proof coins were not issued each year.
